The state says the fantasy sports leagues can't do business there without
obtaining gambling licenses.
Last month, Nevada's Gaming Control Board ruled that daily fantasy sports operators (including Yahoo and all the smaller players too) are gambling operators and that, as such, they must
obtain gambling licenses to continue offering paid contests in the state.

Meanwhile, Nevada regulators moved on Thursday to reclassify DFS as
gambling, requiring FanDuel and DraftKings to either
obtain gaming
licenses or cease operations in the state.
Since
obtaining these
licenses would seemingly be an admission that daily fantasy is actually a form of
gambling, it seems unlikely that either FanDuel or DraftKings will return to Nevada any time soon.
