There are
obvious gameplay reasons why this needs to be the case on normal difficulty, but more cognisant, persistent AI for those after a steeper challenge would have been welcome.

The
reasons are
obvious, the gun is overpowered for general
gameplay but still a
reason would have been nice or simply allowing the player to keep it but not providing any ammo would have been another way to limit its use.
Square Enix finally showed some
gameplay for Final Fantasy VII Remake at Sony PlayStation Experience 2015 and I was pretty elated for
obvious reasons.
This gives the player more control over the vehicle (for
obvious reasons, the Walker doesn't automatically move like the Arwing), and is an overall nice change of pace from the on - rails
gameplay.
