This marketing - driven disease spreads to other parts of the business, as engineers
see a rebranding as a legitimate time to break backwards - compatibility, but they aren't given the lead - time or budget for a full rework, so the new product is similar enough to the old product that it's
obviously just a rehash, but
different enough so that nothing that worked with the old
thing will easily work with the new
thing.
As a publisher and developer of games, we
obviously want to get our games onto as many
different platforms as possible, and so
obviously having a broad range to choose from can only be a good
thing for us, so certainly
seeing Nintendo's hardware selling so well and doing so well, getting our games on that can only be an advantage for the company, so we're very happy about it.
One of art's main functions is to make people
see things from a
different viewpoint and the Turner Prize
obviously does that.
