We know that the vast majority of the extra heat resulting from global warming ends up in the ocean, and also, we know there is a lot of interaction between the ocean and the
atmosphere, with heat that might otherwise
add to the
atmosphere seemingly entering the ocean on a regular basis, with some of it
occasionally coming out in large quantitates during El Nino events.
