When selecting the best moisturizer for dry skin, it is especially important to look for formulations that contain humectants such as glycerin to attract water to skin and
occlusive oils to help lock in moisture.
For the driest skin, reach for the heaviest, most
occlusive oils.
For me, I prefer some wet,
occlusive oils in the winter months, especially around my knees and elbows and on days when I'm slacking on drinking enough water.
