of jewelry if I can afford it, a framed
picture, something for their bulletin board / room, sometimes neat pens / pencils / paper pads and art supplies, DVDs,
games, little scrapbook things that I make for them, and we try to give them one
of the little treasure items that belonged to either my husband's parents or my grandparents (handing them down something that has sentimental value - sometimes it's an
odd thing like a slide rule for my son, a crocheted doily for my daughter, etc...).
