armor we've seen so far, along with every
armor skill that we've encountered.
HZD has a variety
of enemies that act differently both in and out
of combat, upgradeable
armor and weapons, dialogue trees, sidequests that reward you and have variety (rather than collect Korok Seeds nine hundred times), and
skill trees that grow with you, rather than hand you everything at the quest's onset.
A good
armor set I used is the full set
of the Obituary S
armor gemmed with sharpening
skill inc, but you can get Tranq Guru if you want.
There are two types
of Monster Hunter players, those who hunt to craft a good - looking suit
of armor, and those who hunt to craft those pieces
of armor that will give them the best
skills for their play - style.

Along with the base
skills, you also receive
armor skills based on equipping two or four pieces
of the set:
The beta version
of the Jyura
armor has the same
skills as the alpha version, but with all the
skills at Level 1, aside from Water Attack, which sits at Level 2.
The beta version
of the Barroth
armor is similar to the alpha version, just with reduced
skill rating.
The beta version
of the Bone
armor lacks the Master Fisher
skill, though it does offer the aforementioned slots.
The alpha Alloy
armor set offers a host
of improvements over the beta version, including Water Resistance Level 3 and Speed Sharpening Level 3, among other
skills.
The
skills on the King Beetle
armor are: Leap
of Faith, Evade Window, Quick Shealth, Honey Hunter, and Forager's Luck.
This set
of armor is one
of the best early - game sets, which you might find yourself using for a considerable amount
of time, given its decent
skills and all - around powerful stats.
The beta version
of the High Rank Pukei
armor retains all the
skills of the alpha, but drops them to Level 1.
You can not level up armour
skills in Monster Hunter World just by visiting the workshop and spending an
armor sphere — that will upgrade its base defensive stats, but you'll need a different approach to improve the levels
of your armour

The beta version
of the Zorah

Less daft - ly, you should end up either building your
armor sets around specific armour
skills and boosts — opting out
of grand defensive upgrades in favour
of a higher - level effect, for example — or you should build the best
armor for your specific loadout / play style while also factoring in armour
skills.
A good approach is to not think
of armor as defense, but as which
skills would suit your type
of play best.

of war, research and
skill trees, spell levels, jump distance... all limits.

armor set together will grant a set bonus, mixing and matching various pieces from various sets to get a particular set

of flexibility.

of items or collect them from chests that will help deal with a variety
of tough and deadly enemies, strengthen their

of having to do it over and over again, sending friend requests in - game, changing
armor in the online hub, hunter arts and styles which basically grant evasion +2 out the gate so you can focus on other
skills... Man I love me some Monster Hunter.
