of added these ingredients until things seemed right.
There are two reasons: The first one is that brisket dries out quickly after slicing, so if you need to hold it you have to
do something (I usually use a 50/50 mixture
of beef broth and
BBQ sauce for this); the second reason is that most people like
BBQ sauce and expect it with their food.

I don't know
of any
BBQ sauces as hot as you like them, so you'll have to kick up your favorite.
Most
BBQ sauces have a lot
of sugar and tomato in them and those things can get cooked and browned before the inside
of the food is
done.
I always have polenta,
BBQ sauce, and chickpeas on hand, so this is one
of those «hmmm... I don't have many groceries... so what can I make?»
(I didn't discover the love
of BBQ sauce until recently, but I digress).
This is THE WAY to
do brisket as I'm not a fan
of the
