The story
of Blackguards 2 is one of revenge, and Cassia is vengeance personified.
The second installment
of the Blackguards franchise takes place three years after the events of the first game as a new protagonist takes the stage.

Though deeply entrenched, well - financed, and
of course enormously powerful, these
blackguards are nevertheless routed by a small but dedicated band
of courageous, freedom - loving women and their equally virtuous allies, who appear to spend most
of their time selflessly pursuing noble causes and making life more beautiful and meaningful for all Americans, especially the downtrodden.
Blackguards is a great success for Daedalic Entertainment, a great achievement not only for the remarkable playability and exceptional turn - based setting, but also and above all as the first role - playing game
of the hanseatic software house.
Blackguards 2 is the true heir
of the first chapter, and there's enough to keep the fans busy for many strategic gameplay hours.
If you can overlook the dated graphics and some bugs, in
Blackguards 2 you'll find a great tactical RPG, true to the spirit
of «The Dark Eye» franchise.

Having said all that, Max is actually quite an irritating spoilt little
blackguard at the best
of times and there can be little sympathy for him as he rallies against his home life; after all it is quite a normal life and he has a cushy number there pushing the viewer to annoyance at what he has to rage against, and that really he should be disciplined by having his Wii taken off him and no cookies for a week.

of high seas adventurers who are beguiled by risk, danger, and the promise
of wealth beyond their wildest dreams.

Regardless, it's not fun to think that out
of the 10 hours I've put into
Blackguards 2, only a few hours
of it was actual plot development.
In terms
of gameplay,
Blackguards 2 feels very similar to its predecessor.

of trepidation.

of Shogun, Valhalla Hills — Definitive Edition, and
Blackguards 2.

of destroying everything that opposes it!

Blackguards, is now available via Steam Early Access for the Mac.

of the first game rather nicely resulting in a game with much more polished and more complete gaming mechanics.

of the month didn't make the list —
