EQM low.

$ 40,000 was way too much spend to put on this card just to get the 10,000
EQM (which is why I haven't done it in recent years) and most
of the other worthwhile benefits I either get with my airline status or with other, cheaper, credit cards that I hold.

There are always people who, come December, find themselves a few
EQM short
of the required number for the status they're reaching for — that was the point I was attempting to make.

EQM aren't important but you'd like to maximize the number
of redeemable miles (RDM) you'll earn in the AAdvantage program you should book through BA and credit your flights to AAdvantage.

EQM - Zero.
I'm not a fan
of this method and I certainly wouldn't straight out buy
EQM's.
I haven't done all
of the math, but the way things are looking I will likely gain 70,000 American
EQMs in the month
of January!
