of Healing Prayer provide opportunities to hear teachings on prayer and to receive healing prayer.
Christian Healing Ministries, founded by Francis and Judith MacNutt, is a Christ - centered, ecumenical, non-profit organization that is dedicated to the practice and teaching
of healing prayer.
Typically, two Days
of Healing Prayer are offered every year.
Some Days
of Healing Prayer have featured special speakers as well, including Norma Dearing, Rick Belser, Barbara Shlemon Ryan, Nigel Mumford, and Joanne Ellison.
A theology
of healing prayer amplifies this notion in stating that human hands can set, cut and administer — but only God can heal.
The absence
of healing prayer weakens our faith, and thereby weakens our conviction as we Christians work for peace and social justice.
We tend to think
of healing prayer as mumbo - jumbo.

Today, though miracles and
healing do happen frequently by the power
of God in response to our humble
prayers, God has given us the Bible by which we can judge the truthfulness or error
of someone's teachings.
Actually, what the term usually describes is approaches to
healing making primary use
of traditional religious forms and instrumentalities such as
prayer, communion, the laying on
of hands (Mark 16:18), and anointing with oil (James 5:13 - 16).
I should point out, you should not pray «O Lord Please
heal this person»... This is a
prayer of unbelief.

Most AG members have personally experienced these gifts: 65 percent claim to pray in tongues; 61 percent have personally experienced divine
healing as a result
of prayer; 55 percent regularly receive definite answers to specific

healing as Eddy understood it, the human mind does not «do» something to another mind; rather, it witnesses through
prayer and self - purification to the presence

My main point is, when you test to see if
prayer works, there are ways to randomize it so bias is out
