I've done some things here and there, but we have a challenging shaped entry way crying out for help, a
kitchen that needs updating (I am taking inspiration from your painted
cabinets) help getting rid
of the dreaded «tract - home» look / feel, and happily any other room you'd be so inclined to
makeover!
I'm DIYing my
kitchen, master bath, guest bath, and laundry room
makeovers because this move to Texas is only for a couple
of years... I just can't live with the orange oak
cabinets that are there now.
I'm hoping to finish up our guest bathroom
makeover within the next couple
of weeks, then I'll start painting those upper
kitchen cabinets white.

kitchen makeover — I wonder about the difficulty and the longevity
of painting the
cabinets yourself — my hubby, who is a «master» DIYer, insists that it would be too difficult to do it ourselves when we do buy.
I had to swag my dining room chandelier to centered over the table (which required re-wiring some parts), replacing the mirror sliding doors in my bedroom with my DIY craftsman style bi-fold doors, building a little
cabinet door for a spot in my
kitchen that didn't have one since my
kitchen makeover over a year ago, re-paint my bathroom and bedroom shiplap walls, and
of course deep clean and find some fresh artwork for a few spots in my home.
I've done a bit
of DIY
makeover in my own
kitchen, but it's not done yet and I think I could incorporate some
of your fantastic ideas into mine — like maybe that window seat with
cabinets built in next to it.
After using it so successfully on the ends
of my
kitchen and bathroom
cabinets, I was itching to try it in some other spots and this bathroom
makeover seemed like the perfect place to do that.
As part
of our
kitchen makeover, we had to take out our old sink and adjust the
cabinet to fit our undermount apronfront sink before...
One
