Yesterday I was so desperate for sweets, I almost ripped a stale doughnut from the fragile
hands of a sixty year - old lady in our office
kitchen.
I'm blender and food processor challenged (so excited to finally get out
of college life and into actually having a
kitchen life, but a real
kitchen is still a few months away)- do you think mixing these with a
hand mixer would work?
Professional cooks and bakers guard ratios passionately so it wouldn't surprise me a bit if Michael Ruhlman is forced into hiding like a modern - day Prometheus, who in
handing us mortals a power better suited to the gods, has changed the balance
of kitchen power forever.
So once the menu was set, we all gathered in Aggie's
Kitchen on a sunny Saturday afternoon in Florida — fruity white sangria in
