The first edition
of the LUMA Award took the form of an exhibition featuring fifteen artists, all using the medium of photography as a central part of their practice.

LUMA Foundation, a Zurich - based non-profit, has announced that it is to house the archives
of society photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Commissioned and produced by the
LUMA Foundation in 2012, «Altered Earth» explored the ever - changing landscape
of Arles, France through moving image, sound and architecture.
The winner
of the 2010 award, Trisha Donnelly (selected by Peter Fischli and David Weiss), will choose the recipient
of the 2011
LUMA Award.
Symposium organized by
