The gameplay
of Pyre is pretty straightforward and not as intricate as its story.
I found myself attached to them in a similar way to the way I became attached to the Nightwings
of Pyre earlier this year.
The narrative half
of Pyre is an endless stream of wonderfully written dialogue, imbuing each character with a personality magnified by simple but expressive character portraits.
Next is something that'll be a real treat for any fan
of Pyre's critically acclaimed musical score.
I only have one real criticism
of Pyre, and that is that the ending feels flatter than a pancake.
You can find out so much about the world
of Pyre just by poking around and hovering over everything.
A lot
of Pyre's text can be interacted with directly, allowing you to learn more by hovering over red hyperlink - style words that pulsate with new information.
You can also alter the starting HP
of the pyres, decide whether to use Talismans and Masteries, and choose your stage and tunes for the match.

of that freedom as well.
Pyre is a party - based RPG in which you lead a band
of exiles to freedom through an ancient competition spread across a vast, mystical purgatory.
From the art to the music to the story to the tactical gameplay, and even to how they're all woven together so artfully,
Pyre is an adventure that excels in every area
of its design other than limiting its multiplayer to local only.

of visual and audio treats to distract players from all the text.
