I have served on a number of committees, including as vice-chairman
of the Bull Terrier club and I also wrote a weekly column in the Dog World newspaper for a number of years.
Firstly I would like to thank the committee
of the Bull Terrier Club for inviting me to judge I was truly Honoured.
This is thanks to a change in the name
of the Bull Terrier Club to the Boston Terrier Club.

In 2002, Duane Daniels and his friend, Spencer Sheppard was escorted out
of a
club in southeast London and thus ordered an attack by Colonel, Sheppard's Pit
Bull Terrier, on the bouncer.
The American Kennel
Club would not register the APBT because they didn't like the name «pit
bull» because
of its connotation with dog fighting, so they changed the name to the Staffordshire
Terrier and then the American Staffordshire
Terrier.

of devotees: in 2006, the Staffordshire
Bull Terrier ranked 80th among the 154 breeds registered to the American Kennel
Club.

of The Kennel

of England) himself had a kennel

The Miniature
