Researchers will develop an assay to measure canine thrombopoietin (TPO), a bone marrow growth factor, to improve the diagnosis and treatment
of bleeding disorders in dogs with immune platelet defects.
Infectious canine hepatitis can be spread through feces, saliva, urine, blood and nasal discharge and it results in both infection of the liver and the
establishment of a bleeding disorder.
- Patient history: If you have a history
of bleeding disorders, or if pre-term labor is expected, a water birth is not recommended.
Also call the doctor if the stump bleeds continuously, as this may be a sign
of a bleeding disorder.
