It's Fall Foods Galore this week for #SundaySupper, so you know what that means — apples, pumpkins pears, squash, and all sorts
of comfort food as the air starts to get a little crisp.
I hear you on feeding a man, no dinner salads for this guy here too;) thank goodness veggies come in the version
of comfort food as well!

as the Church has always said, that we receive «the spiritual
food of the body and blood
of Christ,» and that we receive this «to our great and endless
comfort,» or strengthening.
As I meditated on that panic throughout the morning, I could see all the ways that I used
food for
comfort, to assuage boredom, to ease fear in social situations, or to compensate for feelings
of loss.

As a former meat eater I enjoyed Golabki, Flaki and Pierogies, both are polish cuisines because even though I was born in Germany, half my heritage (specific: my mother) comes from Poland and I grew up with traditional polish cuisine, which still counts as comfort food to me (Omg I need to mention I tried so often to make Bigos Vegetarian without sacraficing the taste, but it's still a challange) Bu talso my other half of heritage come from Hungary, I also enjoy traditional Hungarian food like Langos and Palacsinta (so good) Basically I've been brought up with no fear from anything new, I have no prejudices, try everything I can and enjoy home cooked meals made with local basic ingridients the mos

My point is that lentil stew or dal,
as it is called in India, has always been one
of our favourite
comfort foods and we just haven't posted it enough here on the blog.
