Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Don't have much info and knowledge like you people here, but there were few things that I did realise yesterday, lack of presence of mind, one instance which I could recall was when, Ramsey had a chance to pass it to fellow mates and instead he went for the glory and finished on the side net...... secondly we might say Fabianski made it tough for us...... well when you have a clear chance to score a goal, how can you hit a ball straight to a keeper from 15 yards...... I like Ozil but when an opponent team parks a bus, he becomes less of a player he is.......

which is certainly not a slight on the young french national player; like him or not, Sanchez has provided some real world - class performances for club and country in recent years... if you do this move, you need to really clean house or face some serious consequences for the foreseeable future... half measures are rarely rewarded, that's how we got here... tear down the wall... we need to get rid of Giroud, not because he isn't a talented player, his skill - set simply doesn't make sense if we hope to maximize the offensive potential of a quick passing, one - touch scheme... we need to evolve, like Barcelona, who realized you needed to have clinical finishers or face a mind - numbing future of horizontal passes and largely ineffective crosses... Barca went and got Suarez, even though they had Messi and Neymar on the roster (just imagine the possibilities — another in the litany of Wenger «what ifs»)... we need to be as clinical in the boardroom as on the pitch... accept nothing less or move on... personally I would move on from Welbeck, Giroud and Walcott, even Ox if he isn't all in... I think the most intriguing player might be Perez, which runs counter to the thoughts in my head when he arrived late last summer... we need a deep lying DM with quick feet and long ball potential, midfielders who can counter quickly even when they are spread out and 4 or 5 players who know how to attack the lanes (kind of a cross between Barca, Dortmund and Monaco)... this is seriously an achievable goal, one that logically should have been achieved quite a few years ago... did no one in the Arsenal organization see the financial restructuring of the football universe... think of the players we could have had but we weren't willing to cough up the dough only for those individuals to have their value double or triple within a 12 to 24 month period... even if just from an investment perspective these «no deals» represent a failure of monumental proportions... only if you cared, of course
Most of the comments on here are opinions and I respect everyone's right to express their opinion, but when someone says that the manager should not be held responsible for the mistakes of the players and he changes the players and they make the same mistakes, surely then we can all agree that the manager must be held responsible for the players he not only chose to buy but now has no choice but to persist with and as for the few good performances, how long do we have to wait before we get a full season of consistently good enough performances that would give the fans (not the deluded ones) any belief that this truly great club can rise up from our sleep walk into further mediocrity.

I have no idea how Arsene Wenger is going to get the Arsenal players up for the final few games of the Premier League season, but the Frenchman needs to find a way to inspire the Gunners and be quick about it, or the campaign could end not only in disappointment but disaster if we crash out of the Champions League for the first time in the reign of the prof.... Which is the lack of game time that a few Arsenal players are gettning (speaking mostly in reference to Chambers, Gibbs and Campbell) im paraphrasing here but the basis of his argument is how do you expect a player to be able come of the bench and be capable of doing a job for team and perform competently with a very limited or no game experience... Considering we have Chelsea at the weekend it seems t would be a great time to start giving those players game experience and resting a few of the starting 11 perhaps with the exception of Walcott i'd like for him to get more game time at Cf... his finishing is diabolical... and learning how to pay as a striker takes time.
To be honest he has been saying for some weeks that he doesn't know when Cazorla will be back, so it was a bit of a shock to read that one of our most important players (according to a Poll on here a few weeks back) is actually in need of surgery on his Achilles, and it could keep him out for at least 3 months according to Sky, and maybe even the rest of the season.
Some players have been here for too long and have either never reached there full potential or simply aren't good enough (no matter the talent after a few seasons you are what you are and what the stats suggests you are) 3 - The point mentioned above is to free up some wages for the extension of our best players, but also recoup some money for say Walcott or Giroud that will never sell as high as now.

Minus some flashes from both Sead and Iwobi, and a workingman - like effort from Elneny, we learned very little... so here are a few of my observations from today's game, which highlight my concerns about this team moving forward... the fact that Mertz started this game, regardless of our injuries or those being «rested», should be a serious red flag for any true Arsenal fan... if Wenger is preparing to use Mertz with any regularity then the whole thing is a moot point because we are in deep shit... the fact is no quality team would ever have this tin soldier anywhere near there starting eleven except to groom their youthful players, who in turn should be playing in this type of game instead... I can only hope he was simply throwing him a bone for the FA appearance and for agreeing to stay on following the season, but I think the most likely answer is that Wenger's fragile relationship with the fan - base can't be ignored so he felt his experience was a safer bet... unfortunately not a positive choice for a team trying to move forward (same old, same old)
A few days ago I posted a comment on here and noted how AFC always seem to lose ground and our way once the heat is on... how we lack the mental strength and character to deal with pressure of maintaining a lead once we are top of the table and how we ALWAYS crumble when it matter most... i also noted how we ALWAYS seem to regain our mojo soon as we are out of contention for every important competition, when we go on some amazing winning streak, just in time to snatch the 4th place trophy... as is the norm on here and many other AFC fans forum i got member jumped down my throat, talking about negative fans, talking about new players we have and how that problem was a thing of the past....
How about most on here have never seen their club ever finish outside top 4 in their lifetime stop talking like were the worst club in the world with no hope of moving forward we our only a few pieces of the jigsaw to be a great team again but it don't happen overnight weve only had 2 years of beign able to really compete financially and with all our players leaving beforehand it will take time to build a team of wc players again we are now able to start building a proper team is what I'm trying to get at and it won't happen overnight Coyg
