Jesus constantly modeled that the small things, the unimportant people, the little children, the cup
of cold water, the tiny
mustard seed, the one act
of faith, the shameful, the foolish, and the insignificant,... these are the things that mattered to
God and where
God was most at work.
Yes, the Kingdom
of God is like a
mustard seed.

of sharing our stories, telling others the ways in which we have hidden from
God, and how we came to embrace «faith

God, in Jesus, in the good news, as it is in the characteristic reformulations in the tradition, for example Mark 1.15: `... believe in the gospel».
Faith here is clearly trust, in this instance in
God's provisioning, and the «faith as a grain
of mustard seed» in the teaching
of Jesus would seem to be an allusion to some such saying as this one.
With
God all things are possible, and if you pray that
God makes it impossible for you to sin in this present life (by the power
of the Holy Spirit), and you believe that you have received it (even if for a moment aka as small as a
mustard seed), whether before or after you prayed for it, it will be yours.
It is much more inplausible, in my opinion, that a
god just sprung up (out
of a
mustard seed according to the bible).
This is partly why Jesus spoke
of giving a cup
of cold water in His name (Matt 10:42) and liked the Kingdom
of God to a
mustard seed (Matt 13; 31 - 32).
