Social media can often be a
bit of a popularity contest (surprise, surprise) and losing upwards of five percent of followers in a day definitely has its downside.
I put large items by the curb and crossed my fingers that someone would be delighted to take my clutter, like a weird
kind of popularity contest.
While the ending in Black Ops, was better then most COD games, it's no where near the top, but hey when the extremely lame ending in MW2 is at 4th place, it pretty much shows how
much of a popularity contest, that list is.
However, «high impact» does not necessarily correlate with «good science» any longer; it's turned into a bit
of a popularity contest over here.
The main point of agreement I've seen regarding it is that it's not a report of actual sales, but a
sort of popularity contest that judges one book relative to others.
