Every time I get the chance to enjoy it, I am reminded
of just how delicious rhubarb really is... addictively tart and
sweet and goes so well with
fruits like raspberries or strawberries.
It lands right in the middle
of the sweetness spectrum for me —
sweet enough to be enjoyable to the last sip, but not so
sweet that you feel
like you're drinking pure
fruit juice.

of sweet and savoury, chewy and crunchy delights, a mix
of treats
like raw chocolate and more virtuous snacks
like dried
fruit and nuts.

of the most classic and delicious desserts ever.
Here's the formula I've discovered for making salads that I don't hate: some kind
of greens, preferably fresh from the farm + something
sweet (usually
fruit) + something crunchy (often nuts) + something creamy
like avocado or cheese + plenty
of pops
of color + a flavorful dressing that's just tart enough.
Even if you decide to opt for a plain yogurt, this is a great source
of natural sugars that help to balance the bacteria in your gut, Adding
sweet fruits like strawberries and blueberries is a perfect way to have a healthy
sweet snack.
Where all the Greek Gods must
of been under the marshmallow influence, along with cans
of syrupy
fruits like cherries red no. 5, pineapple chunks
of yellow no. 5 undistinguished cubes
of fruit matter, bright green grapes and that fluffy component all tied up into a
sweet coma.
To reduce the bitterness
of cranberries, combine them with
sweet fruits like berries.
Tip: I always suggest people new to green smoothies and shakes use spinach instead
of other greens because it's easily hidden and has naturally
sweet undertones that are tasteless once blended with a little
fruit and natural sweetener,
like a pitted Medjool date (or stevia, if you prefer).
To keep the skin as clear as possible, it's essential to eat lots
of vegetables,
fruit, as well as higher fibre complex carbohydrates
like sweet potatoes, brown rice and quinoa, lean proteins
like chicken, fish, eggs and beans, and healthy fats from things
like nuts, seeds, olive oil, avocado, and fatty fish.
Frankly tried as I might to
like this lovely
fruit, I'm still not a big fan
of it... perhaps it's the strange juicy mix
of sweet and sour that just doesn't please my palate.
Often made with uber
sweet fruits like mangos, pineapple, etc., they are topped with more sugar in the form
of dried tropical
fruits and processed granola or cereal.
I cleaned out the crisper drawer in my fridge, choosing vegetables and

I didn't
like avocados at the time (seriously), and as much as I
like sweet & salty combos when it comes to desserts, I've never really been a fan
of fruit & savory combos.
They are the dark chocolate people, the ones who eat the actual gingerbread
of the gingerbread houses (rather than people
like me and most kids who would rather pick off the candy and royal icing), and those who lean towards
fruit and nut types
of concoctions rather than a sticky -

Great idea, and I really
like that they are not overly
sweet, unlike every other kind
of fruit based bar.
