ad spending on broadcast and cable, TV upfront sales rose by an average
of 5 % in May
compared with last year — and cable on average saw a 10 % rise in upfront
revenues.
In the first quarter, it lost one
of every eight dollars in
ad revenue, or 12.4 %, when
comparing same properties to same properties (the performance
of its spring, 2015 acquired San Diego Union - Tribune properly aside.)
