A modern homage to the A210 and A442B endurance racers, it's one

There's bags
of grip on offer but there's more connection through the steering than the Veyron could muster and, fortunately, the 420 mm carbon front discs with their eight - pot calipers (along with the Chiron's
airbrake) ensure it stops as well as it goes.
And now, finally, I'm bonding with the SLR, trusting those carbon - ceramic brakes, getting the
airbrake to flap up, at ease with the ultra-direct steering, «poppy» rebound damping and the thunderous punch
of third gear.
The Longtail
airbrake — fashioned from carbonfibre — remains, as does the lightweight, polycarbonate engine cover
of the coupe.
Most
of these are made from satin - finished carbonfibre, with the front splitter, air intakes,
airbrake and engine bay all getting a carbon makeover.
The
airbrake is also 50 percent bigger than the 650S, though, because
of its carbon fiber construction, is lighter.
At high speeds, the
airbrake alone causes deceleration
of up to 0.6 G.
