It's important to limit your portion
of fermented foods as more is not always better.
All of the healthiest, most long lived cultures have always had some kind
of fermented food as a staple of their diet.
All of this is to say nothing of the known and inherent benefits
of all fermented foods as well as probiotics.

as a beginner, I was overwhelmed with the mere idea
of fermented foods and the complexity
of some
of the recipes.
