Nintendo announced in the most recent Nintendo Direct that the second series
of Animal Crossing
amiibo cards won't be
coming to North America until early next year on January 22nd.
The news primarily
comes from the following email recently sent alongside cancellation to some customers who had pre-orders
of the Animal Crossing
amiibo Card Series One packs placed at AmiAmi, a popular online retailer for Japanese imports.
While the physical retail copies
of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer will
come with a free special character
amiibo card included, the digital version will
come with a free exclusive Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer HOME Menu theme instead.
Animal Crossing
amiibo card collectors beware, as a set
of fifty new
cards will be
coming later this year.
The western version
comes out on October 20th, and Nintendo's making it worth the wait with the accompanying release
of two
amiibo - Chrom and Tiki - and a special edition that
comes complete with a three - disc soundtrack and character art
cards.
One highlight
of the Animal Crossing: Welcome
amiibo update are the «new» returning villagers
coming to the game through the new campground RV trailers and
amiibo cards.
The arcade style Pokémon fighter is
coming in Spring 2016, and it was today revealed that those who purchase a physical copy
of the game within its first production run will receive a free Shadow Mewtwo
amiibo card, which grants early access to the mythical character.
The bundle will
come with a limited edition console, a copy
of the game preloaded on a four gigabyte micro SD
card, and a booster pack
of amiibo cards.
That version
comes with a pack
of amiibo cards too.
The publisher also revealed the first print run
of the game will
come packed with an
Amiibo Card of Shadow Mewtwo, which can be tapped on the Wii U GamePad to unlock the character in the game.
It's also a bundle, so that means it
comes with a copy
of the game and an
amiibo card as well.
If the special edition Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer new Nintendo 3DS XL system is
coming to North America, an announcement should be

What The Hell Nintendo Sidenote: Some
of these games actually need more than three
amiibo cards, which is what
comes packaged in the bundle.
Specifically, the new Nintendo Direct is expected to focus on the upcoming update for Animal Crossing: New Leaf on Nintendo 3DS, which will introduce a variety
of new features to the game including
amiibo support in the game, with 50 new
amiibo cards for the title
coming in December.

of the original game, the Direct may also show a bit more
