If you are not aware already the Samsung Galaxy Tab it is a 7 inch Android 2.2 driven Tablet PC, that Samsung is billing as a new
breed of entertainment device.
A 6 inch screen keeps it in the
realm of an entertainment device (and out of the whole cell phone) but makes it that much more portable then what the iPad and Slate can be.
The iPad fits the
role of an entertainment device and a productivity device, whereas the Kindle is more suited for content consumption rather than creation.
The device not only works with the
majority of your entertainment devices, but also your home automation devices like Philips Hue or Nest Learning Thermostat (so you can lower the lights or change the temperature without even leaving your seat).
Since I have bought the Macbook Air, I do not use a tablet for meetings as much anymore, it has become more
of an entertainment device from which I watch movies in my bed or in the plane, read news and books, play with apps (ie Angry Birds, Music apps), Skype / chat with friends, check Facebook updates, play music on a mini Bluetooth speaker.
Nokia's E6 is aimed at the business world, where the X7 is being touted as
more of an entertainment device than a corporate product — both of which will be the first to arrive with the updated code - named Symbian Anna platform.
