(a) A driver education school may teach all or part of the classroom portion
of an approved driver education course by an alternative method of instruction that does not require students to be present in a classroom if the department approves the alternative method.
To be eligible for a license at 16 years and 90 days, your child must complete both aspects
of an approved driver education course: 30 classroom or online hours and six behind - the - wheel hours.
