of saturated or — even worse — trans fats, Isabel Smith, MS, RD, tells us to make sure that foods like nut
butters and
avocados are part
of our daily diet.
Foods like

butter, coconut oil, eggs, and fish high in omega - 3 fats — such as salmon, albacore tuna, and sardines — are bountiful sources
of healthy fats.
The combination

I've yet to find one that comes close to «normal» bread but some
of the almond or seeded recipes I've tried make a very acceptable base to put mashed

butter on.

of a whole meal then I would just balance them with some healthy fat (
avocados, nuts, etc.) You could have a banana on top
of a piece
of sprouted whole grain toast with some almond
butter and that would be a good option.
One
of the things I love most about
avocados is how versatile they can be as a substitute for somewhat less than desirable ingredients, like
butter.
The deliciously creamy mix

Your results will vary based on the type
of baked good (i.e., muffins vs. brownies), but you can typically replace half
of the
butter in a recipe with puréed
avocado and expect similar results.
And if you're replacing all
of the
butter with
avocado, it's best to reduce your oven temperature by 25 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent your baked goods from getting too browned.
Think about sinking our teeth into a block
of butter vs and egg or an
avocado.
However, the taste should not be noticeably impacted by using
avocado in lieu
of butter.

The next thing is to get rid
of inflammatory fatty acids such as processed vegetables oils (corn, canola, soybean, safflower, peanut, etc) and eat more good fats such as
avocados, coconut fats, grass - fed
butter and olives / olive oil.
I avoid processed fats, like margarine or canola oil, but whole fats from olives,
avocados, coconuts, seeds, nuts, and humanely raised animals (
butter, lard, suet, schmaltz) are a necessary part
of the diet, and lead to feeling full in ways that allow people to cut down on sugar (which is less healthy, as you say).
A hot slice
of freshly made sourdough with
butter melted across it, and my grilled turkey,
avocado sandwiches on sourdough I watch my family crunch into regularly.
You can even substitute 1 cup
of pureed
avocado for 1 cup
of butter in some baked goods.
Like
butter — which makes everything better — and
avocado — the undisputed king
of vegetables (or fruits?)
Healthy fats are my favorite, I definitely had a good mix
of cheese,
avocado, yogurt, cottage cheese, almond
butter, and sunflower

Whilst the
avocado by no means replaced all
of the
butter, it did have less saturated fat than many brownie recipes, so it could be argued that they are slightly better for you!

of flour and

of butter, so what I'm saying is that they're a health food.
