Sometimes we all just want something amazingly quick and easy for dinner, at this point I often go straight for
avocado and hummus

avocado toast can be so great but they're not very portable so I'm really excited by this new nut recipe, as I can just put a little pot
of them in my bag and munch
on them as I run around throughout the day.

However, if you have diabetes / pre-diabetes and you are including bananas as part
of a whole meal then I would just balance them with some healthy fat (
avocados, nuts, etc.) You could have a banana
on top
of a piece
of sprouted whole grain
toast with some almond butter and that would be a good option.
Chia and hemp seed (used in their whole / unground form) are also excellent sources
of fiber that can be added in a similar fashion (hemp seed also works well sprinkled
on salads and
avocado toast, bringing a mild nutty flavor and pleasant texture) and chia is yummy in slurry and pudding form.

avocado, with salads in my version
of Puttanesca.
The
avocado dressing and
toasted almonds provide tons
of whole food healthy fats to this salad, so we're already covered
on that front.
