Young infants normally wake up frequently, but by the age of 6 months, Deray said, about 80 percent
of babies sleep through the night.
For those of you who are concerned about what other people will think if you tell them that your baby sleeps with you... a lot
of babies sleep with mom and dad!
In fact, you'll be encouraged to know that more than 90 percent
of babies sleep through the night (six to eight hours without waking) by three months.
While this isn't something that you can rush, take comfort in the fact that by the time they are nine months old, 70 percent
of babies sleep through the night (meaning they sleep nonstop from the time they are put to bed until a reasonable morning hour, such as after sunrise).
It doesn't seem fair that
ALL of these babies sleep straight through the night until the morning.
Millions
of babies sleep with their parents in my country, and still havent heard of many (rather any) case where the baby was harmed due to this.
Most
of these babies sleep for more than six hours at night without needing to eat at all.
According to a 2010 article published in Pediatrics, more than 50 %
of babies sleep through the night by the time they reach 5 months old.
