Arrayed before us on our little café table were a selection of tapas: a ceviche of little neck clams marinated in red wine vinegar and spicy Spanish paprika (berberechos al pimentón); homemade chicken fritters (croquettes casera de pollo); succulent, small, deep fried squid (calamares), and a green salad
of baby romaine, radicchio, escarole, radishes, onions, carrots, and tomatoes dressed simply with local olive oil and sea salt.
Made the dressing for a salad
of baby romaine Used red wine vinegar, anchovy paste along with rest of ingredients.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup semi-pearled faro, uncooked (or 1 1/4 cups cooked faro) 1/2 cup raw pecans 2 teaspoons good quality maple syrup Kosher salt Cayenne pepper 2 medium carrots, shaved 1 small zucchini, shaved 1/2 red onion, shaved 2 baby radishes, shaved 5 ounces baby lettuces (I used a mix
of baby romaine and baby arugula.)
There's no one formula for what constitutes a packaged spring mix, but it's usually a mix
of baby romaine, oak leaf lettuces, and some other random leaves.

It is made from a mix
of baby kale,
romaine, and spring lettuce topped with grape tomatoes, dried cranberries, sliced apples, and served with crispy or grilled chicken and a breadstick.

This chopped salad has all
of that going for it and more with bosc pears, sliced almonds, dried cranberries, couscous, feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes,
baby spinach and
romaine tossed together in a honey mustard...
In a blender add the chopped tomatillos, poblanos, serranos, onion, garlic, epazote leaves, parsley leaves,
romaine lettuce, power
baby greens, toasted anise seeds, toasted cumin, peppercorns, salt, 1 to 1 1/2 cups
of chicken stock and a drizzle
of extra virgin olive oil, and blend well for about 3 - 4 minutes until pureed.
Little Miss has a mixed salad
of romaine and

The kids always want me to buy Iceberg or

Shredded Winter Salad: Add some winter citrus segments, to a bowl
of shredded
baby romaine, endives and radicchio, and toss with the ginger carrot dressing and lots
of toasted sesame seeds.

of them) we offer a different fresh vegetable, cut up and in individual servings, several days a week —
baby carrots, jicama, zucchini sticks, cucumber, celery — and new this year, sitting right on the mainline is a bin with a plex dome on top that holds fresh dark leafy greens like
romaine, or broccoli, once a week.
Those who ate the highest egg amount with the salad
of tomatoes, shredded carrots,

of carotenoids 3 - 9 fold.
