Surround each item with something special — a circle
of beaded garland (as shown here), some fall leaves, pinecones, or even a toss of tiny acorns.
I bought some plain faux pine garland this year and decorated it with swags
of beaded garland, LED lights, gilded pinecones (see how HERE!)

There are so many
garlands that they just look like masses
of shiny red
beads and set off the white candles.

beaded garland purchased at Hobby Lobby after Christmas around the base
of the plate!!

We paired ours with a wood
bead garland and a few pumpkins for an extra touch
of fall.
I placed my glass bird cloche on top
of a pedestal holding a battery operated candle (remember my «trash to treasure» post), some spanish moss and trimmed with some green
beaded garland.
Wrap a small
beaded garland around the base
of each candle for extra sparkle.

Customizing this Christmas
garland idea by varying the pattern
of beads and brass triangles makes it almost as fun to create as it is to hang.

beads were a serendipitous find at HomeGoods a few months ago — they were just a box
of wooden balls (vase filler I presume), but I knew then and there I would use them for a
garland.
I also added one
of the many wooden
bead garlands I made from the
beads my dear friend Michelle sent me.

Next, I added some wooden hearts to my wood
bead garland, gave the goose a lace bow, and laid down a bundle
of silk flowers....
I ended up twisting a basic white strand with two different strings
of clear / frosted
bead garland, and adding in some ornaments.
