Made my first batch
of beef bone marrow broth soup using large stock pot on stove top.
For lunch and dinner, I usually had a bowl
of beef bone broth soup, w / green veggies (kale, collard greens, etc.) and Shirataki noodles, and either steak, lamb or chicken.
Broccoli or Cauliflower approx 2 cups 1 Hamburger Patty (organic, grass fed) 3 Eggs 2 oz Butter (grass fed, preferrably)-- Gravy: 1.5 cups
of beef bone broth or bouillon 1 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms 2 large garlic cloves, minced Dash of Braggs Aminos 1 tsp Olive oil 2 Tbsp Chia seeds (ground as fine as you can get) 1/2 tsp xantham gum
We were out of our homemade beef stock so we made a double recipe
of the beef bone broth.
Ingredients - 12 oz beef eye of round (cheap cut of meat is fine since you're going to thinly slice it)- 1 2 - inch piece of ginger, peeled and grated - 4 garlic cloves, minced - 2 star anise pods - 5 whole cloves - 1 cinnamon stick - 8 cups
of beef bone broth or beef stock (I used a mix of both)- 1 teaspoon asian fish sauce - kosher salt, to taste - 4 oz dried rice noodles - 4 oz mushrooms, such as shiitake, oyster, or cremini - 3 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced - 1 head of boy choy, cut and washed
But to boost the depth of flavor, we're going to experiment by adding apple butter, soy sauce and 2 pounds
of beef bones.
Earlier in the week I made beef stock because I had a huge bag
of beef bones taking up space in my freezer.
If you don't have them, substitute an equal amount
of beef bones.
I bought a bag
of beef bones at Harris Teeter, but they are likely not hormone - free.
For the project, I purchased about four pounds
of beef bones (marrow and knuckle bones) from grass - fed cows, two and a half pounds of sugar - free and nitrate - free bacon, assorted cuts of grass - fed beef, and several packages of pastured butter.
When I was younger, and my grandma was still living she usually would make broths out
of beef bones or chicken bones.
How about pressure caning this??? I just got 10 lbs
of beef bones at locker and I want to make beef bone broth but I do not have freezer space....
I am assuming Dixie would like one
of the beef bones.
