all of these black bean recipes because, though I love them, I just don't work with them often enough!

Reading through some
of your baked
recipes I see that binders sometimes include sweet potatoes, dates, or
black beans.
I noticed a few
of the
recipes call for
black beans and I wondered where you source your tinned
black beans?

black bean salad, raspberry and coconut mousse and sweet potato stew — yum.
There will be over 100
recipes, almost all
of which are new from zucchini banana bread to veggie paella, creamy pasta carbonara, an almond butter and lemon quinoa bowl, healthy pad thai,
black bean brownies, coconut cinnamon popcorn and a gooey chocolate ganache cake!
I used this
recipe as inspiration for the «meat,» but I do one can
of black beans, one can
of chickpeas, and a heaping half cup
of pecans plus double all the spices except the salt, which it calls for way too much
of.
Lately it's been an old favorite
recipe that I discovered years ago: a couple

I will admit that I researched a lot
of black bean soup
recipes and had my fair share
of recipe fails when trying to make this a 30 minute meal.
5 - 6 big handfuls
of baked tortilla chips 1 can
black beans, drained 1 cup sweet potato vegan nacho cheese (

I made the
recipe as noted below, however with this

This book is different - it has a lot
of recipes that I had never made before, such as double chocolate devils food cookies (made
of black beans!)
Lately I've been combining quinoa, goji berries, mint,
black beans, green onion, and lime zest with the curried lemon pepper dressing (from mango salad
recipe, but using lime) and topping with chopped coarsely chopped hazelnuts (By the way, I never really hear anyone talk
of the health benefits
of hazelnuts, now that I think about it?
I made a few changes — I doubled the entire
recipe except the beef (I used 1.5 lbs for the whole thing), 1 can garbanzo and 1 can
black beans in place
of kidney
beans, and I used more
of the spices than the original measurments.
Mine came in on Friday and my weekend consisted
of (all
recipes in 1/2 or 1 / 3s because there are only 2
of us): maple bacon biscuits, potato, scallion, feta frittata, butternut squash galette, eggplant calzone, white chocolate pudding with blackberry curd, peach sour cream pancakes (with pears instead
of peaches), risotto and corn stuffed poblanos, the
black bean recipe, and finally the lemon bars!
1 Large can cooked
Black beans 1 Large onion, chopped (1 TBS dried) 1 Large green or red bell pepper, chopped Cream
of Chicken soup substitute (see
recipe below) 1 (4 oz.)
Loaded with onions, zucchini, tomatoes, and protein - rich
black beans, this vegan
recipe is hearty and packed full
of nutrients.
What I enjoy most about veggie burgers is the endless possibility
of combinations, like this spicy butternut squash &
black bean burger
recipe.

Ingredients: -3 peppers -1 / 2 can cream
of chicken (original
recipe called for cream
of mushroom, but I already had an open can
of cream
of chicken from the chicken bake)-2 cups frozen veggies, diced / thawed - half a can
of black beans -1 cup quinoa, cooked -1 tsp paprika -1 tsp cayenne pepper - slices
of pepper jack cheese, quartered
You use
black beans instead
of garbanzo
beans (or chickpeas) in this hummus, but it still has many
of the same ingredients you would use in your typical hummus
recipe... like olive oil, garlic, and tahini.
And in the spirit
of sharing, here is a favorite quickie
bean soup
recipe of my own: a can
of unflavored re-fried
black beans (or pintos), preferably unsalted, with enough
of approx equal parts Swanson's Mexican Tortilla - flavored broth & milk (I use soy) to make creamy (I usually use half an empty
bean can
of each).
Typically made from mashed chickpeas, there are also fantastic
recipes for savory versions made
of pumpkin, beets,
black beans, and edamame.

You should be able to add
black beans and keep the
recipe as - is if it's getting too thick feel free to add a bit
of water or extra broth!

recipe calls for
black bean sauce, which can be found in the Asian section
of most supermarkets or ordered online from ethnicgrocer.com.
