pupils and irises by first creating pencil illustrations before embroidering over them using
black thread on a heavy weave cream cotton, ready to hang and enjoy in your home.
The exhibition's title is a play on words, as

black circular opening in the iris
of the human eye or a student, while an anvil is a metalworking tool or the small bone near the ear that registers vibration.
