sale prices from my usual 99 cents.
It's
going to take a lot
of effort to put together your own tour, but you can do it, save yourself, the money, and not have to worry about whether or not your
book managed to get any
sales from the tour itself.
I am sure you are fully aware that with the closure
of Borders (50 %
of print comic
books sales share suddenly
gone!)
Even with the huge potential exposure
of Amazon, the
sales go to where the
books are pitched.

of my

going through CreateSpace, I've found it impossible to update Lightning metadata for four
of my
books, including two

books for as cheaply as they can get them.
On the other hand, if you have a
book ready to
go already, you can skim through these chapters and get straight to where I discuss formatting your e-
book and publishing it for the Kindle - and then,
of course, how to promote it for maximum
sales.
As for indies, they can also
go «out
of print» by the simple expedient
of the author withdrawing the
book from
sale.
Promotional pricing (

going free briefly, has less influence on total earnings than I'd have expected, though a few authors have reported that putting one
book free has increased
sales of their other
books, especially if it's a series.

of books, it would be an easy

Which you probably aren't: unless you do a ton

going to do, because you don't know how, and even if you hire a publicist, they'll focus on TV and radio and old school methods that don't actually impact
book sales.
If you
go to print using an interior file prepared solely in Microsoft Word, you shouldn't expect your
book to generate the all - important word
of mouth recommendations that result in additional
sales and eventual success.
