Found this recipe in the midst of a frustrating stop in
front of the breakfast sausage section of the grocery store, and it was exactly what I needed!
You can use store - bought sausage for the soup, but I like to use a 1 - pound
roll of breakfast sausage that's been smoked at 225 degrees F until it reaches an internal temp of 170 degrees F.
I'm not a massive
fan of breakfast sausage, but I looooove the hot Italian - style poultry sausage that our local grocery store carries.

This casserole starts off with a couple pounds
of breakfast sausage.
If you're not into making your own breakfast sausage (I promise, it is so easy), a pre-packaged roll
of breakfast sausage will just fine.
2.5 — 3 lb boneless chuck roast 12oz roll
of breakfast sausage (sugar free) 1 rotisserie chicken (or bake your own) 1 lb package italian pork sausage links 1 lb ground turkey 1 lb ground beef 1 lb sugar free bacon
When finished it kinda reminded
me of breakfast sausage, while not bad, not my favorite.
