I don't use oil, so I substituted veggie broth for that and ran out
of bullion cubes, so used Mrs. Dash.
On a ketogenic diet, Jeff Volek recommends adding a gram or two of sodium per day in the form
of a bullion cube or two — particularly on workout days.

I didn't have yeast flakes but I had chicken
bullion cubes I used in place
of it and I used Asian veggies and fresh noodles from the Asian market for even fresher taste.
If you can do a little veggie
bullion (maybe 1/2 tsp or half a
cube) and a little extra flaxseed meal, the taste / texture would probably be similar... or a nice dry nut flour
of some sort would work well too:) If veggie bouillon is a no - go, then I would think omitting it and adding some extra spices would be great too!

bullion cube + pasta water)-- I hope you did not miss that step somehow!
If it has lots
of those long chemically words, then it's no better than
bullion cubes and skip it.
I collect bones in the freezer, keep a bag
of onion skins and other veggie pieces in the freezer to throw in, some red wine and half an organic
bullion cube.
