That said, a few drops of lavender oil in 2 oz
of a carrier oil like coconut can be very soothing to the skin, and very effective against yeast growth.
You should always use some
kind of carrier oil, which is less potent to contain the essential oils.
Each carrier oil offers different properties and the
choice of carrier oil can depend on the therapeutic benefit you are looking for.
When you're ready to try an essential oil topically on the skin, you'll start with one drop diluted in eight
drops of a carrier oil like Young Living's V - 6, avocado oil, or MCT coconut oil.
Dilution should be done till a maximum of 5 % which means that you add 1
ml of the carrier oil, equating to 20 drops, for each one drop of the essential oil..

To relieve a queasy stomach and bloating, add 2 drops of Spearmint Essential Oil and 1 drop of Coriander Essential Oil to 1 teaspoon
of carrier oil and apply to the abdomen.
Mix one drop each of the three essential oils in 1 teaspoon
of carrier oil and apply with long, smooth strokes to the body.
A basic recommendation for puppies might be.5 % dilution (basically the amount of essential oil is 1/2 % of the amount
of carrier oil, a rough estimation would be 3 drops of oil per ounce of carrier oil).
For example, mix 3 - 4 drops of essential oil to 96 - 97 drops
of carrier oil (e.g., almond, hazelnut, jojoba, olive oil).
