of chalk type paint however they are really expensive!

One
type of paint that is easy to use and environmentally friendly is
chalk paint.
For that reason, I have spent a week doing incredible amounts
of research online regarding different homemade
chalk type paints.
I will say, the
paint doesn't feel as rich as some
of the already mixed
chalk type paints, but when you want a specific color it is a good option.
I work with three different
types of paint at the moment:
Chalk Paint, Milk
Paint & Fusion Mineral
Paint.
I am going to try your
chalk paint recipe and was wondering if you need to use a special
type of paint... like flat as opposed to semi gloss or satin?

My son, who is an antique furniture restorer and French polisher would agree with all you say about waxing he would always use varnish
of one
type or another but then again he rarely uses
chalk paint Margaret
So it's the ease
of a
chalk -
type paint without the need for wax.

type of paint, as recently I have only been using

I know I said that I would talk about the various
types of paint that these sprayers will spray, Latex, Annie Sloan
Chalk Paint etc but to be honest I kind
of use the Annie Sloan
Chalk Paint as a bit
of a bench mark for this example because it's far thicker that most latex
paints I've ever used, so if a spray gun will handle Annie Sloan
Chalk Paint without it being thinned then it will handle all but the thickest
of paints out there in the market place.
what confuses me is the
types of paint... and making
chalk paint... and where do I use the plaster paris...... I was going to follow your
chalk paint recipe with calcium carbonate... so do I mix that with my behr P510 blue
paint....

I used the
chalk paint pens instead
of regular school
type chalk.
You can do this with most any brand
of chalk paint, it's really the technique that will make it look weathered, and the colors that will make it appears as a certain
type of weathered wood.
The reason I like the one I use is that it comes in a powder so it last me longer... I
paint with different
types of paint, milk
paint,
chalk paint, latex, it really depends on «the look» I am going for..

I would test it out using a small amount
of the
paints — latex + craft to see what happens when it is mixed into a DIY
chalk type paint mixture.
Chalk paint is a
type of paint that gives a matte, chalky finish.
I have used
chalk paint before but never the
type of paint you have to mix power with... I guess I'll have to give it a shot!
I did some roller stamping recently as well, and I used
chalk type paint from Heirloom Traditions instead
of the IOD ink.
