of Prairie Moon Waldorf School asked Gail to return to teach more advanced techniques in a full day workshop.
In this workshop, grades 1 - 8 class and subject teachers will receive instruction in the basics
of how to create beautiful
chalkboard drawings and how to approach Main Lesson book
drawings across the Waldorf lower and middle school curricula.
With a table setup on a
chalkboard full
of artistic hand
drawn elements such as table settings, and a table runner
of both living and hand
drawn flowers.
This set includes eight hand
drawn leaves that can be used in an endless amount
of ways: card designs, photo overlays, fall printables,
chalkboard graphics, embroidery, you name it!

In my session with Hillary we read I Like Myself, and then she
drew a picture
of herself on the
chalkboard.

With this DIY you could either paint over a wooden headboard with
chalkboard paint and
draw on top
of it, or even paint a basic headboard shape straight onto the wall behind your bed.

of a marshmallow.
Another fun design option would be to paint the top
of the toy chest (inside or out) with

of having your first

Beyond the obvious uses — as a place to jot down reminders or a spot where kids can
draw on the walls — we like the idea
of painting pantry jar lids to identify what's inside, creating
chalkboard patches on terracotta pots to identify the seeds you planted, and (
of course) painting a pegboard and outlining designated spaces for tools.
