I've been making
chia puddings and frozen strawberry / watermelon
drinks all summer but never thought
of combining the two.
I love adding in a bit
of citrus and some
chia seeds to make it a refreshing yet totally satisfying

of your favorite juice) and a short trip to Whole foods, I'm now enjoying my own
Chia juices from home at a much better price!
I've been
drinking this after my workout... the first time I had trouble with the texture, but now I look forward to gym days so I can have a
chia fresca... my question, however, is should I be
drinking this before the gym instead
of after?
I have heaps
of chia seeds but haven't been using them lately because I haven't been
drinking as many smoothies (darn cold weather!!)
I
drink chia fresca everyday, and I have to say that besides all
of the other health benefits I definitely feel an energy boost.
was VERY skeptical about the texture factor
of this
drink, but as i had a costco bag

drink, however, the nutrients in
chia seeds are not absorbed unless they're ground or micro-sliced.
The company recently made a play into the energy
drink segment with the launch
of two «clean energy beverages» combining
chia seeds with caffeine sourced from organic yerba mate and organic green coffee beans providing 2,500 mg
of Omega - 3 and 90 mg
of caffeine per serving.
The idea
of adding ground
chia seeds really made the
drink for me!
But as with most things, I've been itching to try my hand at making my own version
of that
chia seed
drink.
I use it in smoothies, baking, oats,
chia pudding and to make my version
of bulletproof morning
drink.
Seriously, I had about 1/2 c.
of extra rice from my rice cooker & decided to chuck it in the
chia pudding I made the day before (what, i was a little
drunk, sue me.)
I also
drink a «Green» smoothie (1 cup cashew milk, 1 scoop Pretty Fit Greens, 2 handfuls
of power greens, 1 cup
of frozen mango, 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder, and 1 tbsp
chia seeds.
The ancient grain
chia also continued to find favor as the Mamma
Chia range
of chia - branded food and
drinks was extended with
drinks featuring organic
chia and greens.
Instead
of spending $ 4 per
chia seed
drink at your local healthy food store, make your own by soaking 2 Tablespoons
of seeds in 1 Cup water mixed with 1 Cup
of your choice
of juice for at least 15 minutes.
I have had success with my two - year old
drinking smoothies that consist
of almond milk, spinach (or kale),
chia seeds, 1 banana and 1 date.
If you're already a fan
of drinking chia, you'll like this pudding.
All that being said, I was saying to Hubby the other day (who happily plows through raw vegan desserts and falafel and onion bread and
chia seed cereal and cocoa avocado pudding and green

The mixture
of ginger, mint,
chia and pineapple give a nice flavor to a natural energy
drink.
Just make sure to
drink plenty
of fluids if using
chia seeds as they will leech water from your body.
Because
of their extreme versatility in the kitchen, they can be used to thicken up a variety
of dishes including oatmeal and overnight oats, soups and sauces, fresca
drinks, and
of course, used to give oomph to
chia seed pudding.
To make this
drink I re-hydrated
chia seeds by soaking 1 tablespoon
of chia seeds in 4 tablespoons
of warm water.
I
drink a shake
of oatmeal blended with
chia seeds with soya milk for lunch everyday with some vanilla extract for flavour!

of speeding up your metabolism are going to bed early, including more proteins in your meals, consuming spicy food,
drinking a lot
of water and eating food which is rich in fibers like oats, raspberries, carrots,
chia seeds etc..
I would err on the side
of caution and take it as prescribed, fix your
chia drink, and it will be ready for you once your allotted time has expired!
