I want to get the calories down for weight loss
though so my updated recipe is: 6 oz brewed organic coffee cold, 6 oz unsweetened almond milk, 1 scoop organic plant based protein
powder, 1 tsp pure vanilla extract, 1 tbs organic
cocoa, 1 egg yolk, stevia to taste, and contents
of 2 probiotic capsules.
This time around,
though, we need
cocoa powder,
of course.
And even
though there is a ton
of cocoa powder in the recipe, which certainly covers the smell and taste
of quinoa, that doesn't seem to explain the complete lack
of quinoa - ness.
The ratio
of cocoa powder was too high for me,
though, so the next time I cut that almost in half and then it was perfect.
I love everything in it, the taste, the texture, even
though I replaced some
of the
cocoa powder with poppyseed flour, while I forgot to count with the double batch, when I went shopping.
I find with brownies (and chocolate baked goods
of any kind) the most important part is finding a delicious tasting
cocoa powder - it should smell and taste good straight out
of the packet (
though it will be bitter, obviously) and then it will flavour your brownies brilliantly.
I'm wondering
though, can I replace part
of the flour for
cocoa powder to make them chocolate?
I did my own version
of the icing
though with (roughly) 1 cup
of virgin coconut oil, maybe 1/4 cup
of unsweetened
cocoa powder, and a bit
of vanilla, and some tapioca flour to thicken it up a bit.
This looks delicious and as I don't have to worry about meltingly hot temperatures in Ireland I will be giving it a go soon,
though haven't heard
of Dutch
cocoa powder so will be on the look - out for that.
Breakfast: — 2 teaspoons
of cocoa + 200 ml water + 300 ml organic oat drink (water + 10 percent oats); — 1 raw banana; — 1 teaspoon
of organic virgin coconut oil (love it
though its saturated:)-- 1,5 tablespoons
of flaxseed (crushed and added just before consuming); — 0,75 tablespoon
of turmeric
powder + 200 ml
of water; — 1 apple.

though and will be eaten anyway) * almond milk hot chocolate * snuggling on the cough reading a book with said hot chocolate * roasted chickpeas AKA crack * purchasing a huge fluffy white pillow from Pier 1... it's so fluffy I'm gonna die!
