This type
of coconut oil works great as a carrier oil for helping other, beneficial oils to penetrate the skin.
If not, a very light layer
of coconut oil works, or for those who find that too oily, a diluted apple cider vinegar toner helps keep oil at bay.

The taste
of this is pretty insane too, the caramel - like dates
work so well with the
coconut oil, sweet apple puree, zesty ginger and chocolaty cacao to create something totally divine.
For these muffins extra virgin olive
oil instead or
coconut oil will
work great, as will omitting the agave but unfortunately the dates are a really big part
of the recipe so I don't know if you can replace them.
Sadly not as you really need the solid
coconut oil to help bind the mixture together which just wouldn't
work with another liquid

works wonders for the skin.
Saturated fats (ghee, grass - fed butter, grass - fed meats, cold pressed
coconut oil etc),
work to protect the unsaturated fats (the fats found in nuts and seeds) from damage in the body - almost acting as antioxidants to protect the beneficial properties
of those fats.
The sauce,
of which there is plenty (I like a little chicken with my sauce), is built from tomato and yogurt (no
coconut milk this time) though I did accompany with a
coconut infused brown basmati (just add 1 Tbsp
of coconut oil to the rice while cooking,
works like a charm), the boys love it too.

of either butter or
coconut oil will

You can use expeller pressed
coconut oil and / or bacon grease as well — any combination
of these 3 fats
works great, and you can reuse the fat — just strain it after you make the carnitas and store it in the fridge.
But in the end it's important to remember the body needs plenty
of natural fats in order to function properly, and
coconut oil is a great way to
work those fats into your diet.
While I've always loved olive and
coconut oil, I've recently been studying the
work of Dr. Greger and Dr. Esselstyn who recommend getting fats from whole foods rather than oils.

Tried many
of your recipes and they
work so well BTW, the rancidity is when the
coconut oil is old / past expiry date, or when it reacts with moisture.
And instead
of coconut oil, BUTTER or home - rendered lard (leaf lard from kidney fat is almost tasteless) would
work great!
Prepare your crust and press it into the bottom
of a lightly
coconut oiled 6 - inch spring form pan (I'm sure a regular pie plate
works too — or an 8 - inch glass dish — whatever you have on hand).

Any kind
of coconut oil should
work, but virgin
coconut oil tends to be more pleasant to hold in your mouth, and likely retains more anti-microbial qualities.

of coconut oil.
I use a combo
of butter and
coconut oil because I like the flavor and moisture both give, but either exclusively as the fat will
work just fine.

works wonderfully as a sub, and I also use
coconut oil instead
of grapeseed
oil.
Here, the flavours
of coriander, almond butter, and
coconut oil work wonderfully with fresh herbs and baby bok choy, making one
of my favourite dinners.
Just know if you're out
of coconut oil AND butter, sunflower
oil works.

work in your favor then because I already planned on buying several gallons

of my own, but unfortunately I've been unsuccessful in developing a recipe that
works in pie crusts.
The one modification I had to make was using about twice the amount
of coconut oil (about 4 tbs) as the original recipe but everything
