Codeine and other harmful substances are sometimes found in
prescription painkillers, so be sure to read the label
of anything you are taking, and when in doubt, pump and dump.
On April 20, 2017, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a Drug Safety Communication and announced revisions to the labels
of all
prescription medicines containing
codeine and tramadol.
As reported in the May issue
of Pediatrics, solutions include changing provider
prescription behaviors to promote the use
of better alternatives to
codeine, such as ibuprofen or hydrocodone.
This epidemic
of addiction has left millions
of people dependent on illegal narcotics such as heroin, or to
prescription opioid pain relievers like oxycodone (brand name: OxyContin),
codeine, and morphine.
Luckily, my NSAID consumption has majorly decreased after treating my MTHFR, but I still have at least 1 - 2 days
of some ibuprofen use, but only about 200 mg every 4 hours (compared to my
prescriptions of 800 mg
of ibuprofen and Tylenol with
codeine).
Officials blame this increase on the rise
of addictive
prescription drugs such as Vicodin, OxyContin, Percocet,
codeine, and Fentora, all
of which are opioids (derivatives
of opium).

prescription bottles and rubber tubing stretched around a person's arm (injections occur off screen), a man drinks from a bottle
of codeine cough syrup, goes to the drug store, purchases another bottle and drinks part
of it while walking home and later a female neighbor drinks the rest
of it in his home, and a man places a marijuana cigarette in his mouth to hide it from a policeman and says it made him feel sick like a bomb was strapped to his chest.
