If you are new to soapmaking, I would recommend reading my tutorial on how to make

process soap so you have a good grasp
of how to make
soap before you get started with this variation.
I prefer this method since the
soap does not get nearly as hot as traditional
cold process soap., preserving the therapeutic benefits
of the essential oils.
While I've made many batches
of regular
cold process soap, I've only made liquid
soap a handful
of times.
You have the more traditional route where you can find recipes for the
Cold Process soap making method and create a wonderful array
of textures and fragrances.
I love the smell
of coconut, I use it often and I have a great coconut oil
soap recipe to share with you using the
cold process method.
Having said that please also remember that lime essential oil does tend to lose its scent very quickly in
cold processed soap, so you will need to add 1/2 a teaspoon
of benzoin or vitamin E at trace along with the essential oils, this will act as a fixative.

of course, real oatmeal.

of folks express concern around the

of working with Lye and yes you do want to take some precautions whenever you handle it.
