Our first taste
of cool fall weather has officially landed here in Houston!
The onset
of cool fall weather, lengthening nights, and big orange squash everywhere just puts me in the mood for pumpkin soup.
Still feels like summer here in Costa Rica — though I feel the opposite and would love a bit
of cooler fall weather!

Fall, is here.
As
Fall is my favorite season, I am looking forward to the changing colors
of the leaves, the
cooler weather and picking apples and pears from the farms nearby.
College football,
cool crisp
weather, pumpkins,
fall festivals and back to school supplies — all
of these things bring such warm feelings and happy memories.
Last week we had a few days
of cooler weather to usher in the

While I am totally ready for

fall I'm definitely still enjoying all
of the herbs in my herb garden (because they are the ONLY plants that came out edible this year...) and with those herbs comes zucchini, naturally.

of our favorite sensory bins that inspire imagination and creativity are our indoor sand where my son sat inside the bin, with «snow» raining down on him, belting out «Let It Go», our indoor cranberry bog where my kids pretended to harvest the cranberries in some
cool fall weather using a variety
of kitchen tools as real harvesting tools, and our «Inside Out» edible water bead bin where we used our imagination to act out and discuss a variety
of emotions.
The great thing about
fall — aside from it signaling
cooler weather — is that it is the beginning
of the holiday season.
Fall is my favorite season, a time
of change when the
cool weather means long sleeves and regular use
of the crockpot.

of the world's 12,954 confirmed cases — the virus has not left and may well come roaring back with the
