Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Casserole features broccoli, chopped cooked chicken and brown rice sauced with a mixture
of cream of chicken soup with plain yogurt, flavored with lemon juice, cooking sherry and curry powder and topped with buttered panko bread crumbs.
The original recipe specified two cans
of cream of chicken soup which I reduced to one can.
I am not a big fan
of cream of tartar.
With this one the broccoli shines through and we use coconut milk, so it's basically a super yummy, dairy free version
of cream of broccoli soup!
Otherwise, you could add 1 Tbsp
of cream of tartar, it would also serve the same acidic effect and react with the baking soda.
For the baking powder, all you have to do is replace the three teaspoons called for in the recipe with two teaspoons
of cream of tartar and one teaspoon of baking soda.
** If you can not find cream of tartar you can substitute 2 teaspoon of baking powder in place
of cream of tartar and baking soda.
Love love love snickerdoodles and I may be in the minority, but it is the combination
of cream of tarter, cinnamon sugar, butter and Vanilla that make a snickerdoodle.
This is what worked for me finally... whipped the egg whites for eight minutes with 1/2 tsp
of cream of tartar, slowly mixed in the softened cream cheese and protein powder, baked it at 325 for 30 minutes, then turned the oven off but left the bread inside to cool — turned out amazing.
