The first one I gave her was a Lewis Carroll problem that I'd had much success with, with
students of different grade levels: If 6 cats can kill 6 rats in 6 minutes, how many will be needed to kill 100 rats in 50 minutes?
I have really enjoyed working with
all of the different grade levels of College Success Academy Scholars in both their classes and study halls.
For example, one controlled study showed that sixth - graders did better in a K — 8 setting rather than a middle school setting, but it didn't demonstrate how the configuration affects other students
of different grade levels (Paglin & Fager, 1997).
